Colette Ellis, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, BCS-S is a speech-language pathologist with over 36 years of clinical experience, holding Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She is the owner of 29th Street Therapy Center, and the lead clinician for Grady Memorial Hospital, both in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
She received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Education in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Colette specializes in the evaluation and treatment of feeding, swallowing, voice, neurogenic, cognitive and oral placement disorders (OPT) of all ages. Her areas of expertise include dysphagia, voice disorders, TBI (traumatic brain injury), and OPT. Colette is an ADVANCED Level IV TalkTools trained therapist and has specialized training in speech/oral sensory-motor/feeding therapy, aphasia, apraxia, aqua therapy, Beckman techniques, MBSImP, video-stroboscopy, and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES).
She is a member of the TalkTools speaker bureau, is fluent in French, and has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and seminars across the United States and Internationally. She recently had the opportunity to present a two day course on dysphagia in both Paris, France and Cairo, Egypt. She teaches classes on sensory-motor feeding and swallowing disorders for ASHA CEU’s.
Tara Ellis, M.S. CCC-CF is a Speech-Language Pathologist who joined 29th Street Therapy Center in 2017. She received her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and Masters of science at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
She is a TalkTools Level II trained therapist and is initiating training in the Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile (MBSImP) for videofluroscopic evaluation of swallowing, and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). She specialized in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric oral placement therapy for feeding and speech, specifically targeting toddler, pre-school and school-age populations, as well as traditional speech, language, cognitive, and voice therapy needs.
Lisa Scott, M.S. CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist who joined 29th Street Therapy Center in 2018. She received her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and Masters of Science at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 2015. She was awarded her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association in June of 2016.
Lisa has experience with Augmented and Alternative Communication including speech generating devices. She is trained in LAMP programming (language acquisition through motor planning) and is initiating training in MBS and FEES. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders in pediatric clients. She is also initiating training for the oral placement method.
